An important ingredient used in a lot of Witchcraft is black salt, as it’s a very useful protective tool and it can also be used for warding against negative energies.
Here’s my preferred recipe for making black salt:
• Dried sage for banishing and protection;
• Dried Basil for peace and protection;
• Dried bay leaf for protection and warding off negativity and evil;
• Dragon’s Blood incense ash (that I’ve been collecting) for cleansing;
• Black pepper for banishing negativity and for protection against evil; and
• Himalayan pink salt for protection against evil, cleansing and purification.

I used a charcoal coal in my mini cauldron (yes, I know it’s cliched, but it’s a mini one and it’s so cute!) to burn all of the ingredients (except the salt and pepper). I’d suggest doing this outside, as it absolutely STINKS!!
Once it’d all burned and cooled off, I ground it all up with my pestle in my cauldron, then thoroughly mixed in the salt and pepper, then popped it all in a jar.
